Virtual Fitness Apps in Brazil: iOS Insights for Q4 2020

The virtual fitness industry has seen significant user engagement on the iOS platform in Brazil during the fourth quarter of 2020. Here's a look at the performance of the top five applications according to data from Sensor Tower.

Zepp Life (Formerly MiFit) maintained a consistent weekly active user base, starting at around 425K in late September and peaking at 450K by the end of December. Downloads saw a notable jump from 12K to 18K in the third week of December before dipping to 10K in the final week.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike generated revenue that fluctuated between $14K and $21K throughout the quarter. The app experienced a decrease in downloads from 14K to 11K by the end of December, while weekly active users spiked from 207K to 226K in the same period, indicating a strong user retention.

Kompanion: At Home Workouts saw its revenue grow from a modest $175 to over $1K by December's end. Downloads surged to 24K in late November but then dropped significantly to just above 1K by the year's end. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at 24K before falling to 3.4K.

FunDo Pro did not generate revenue but its downloads and active users suggest steady engagement. Downloads peaked at 11K in the third week of December, while active users grew from 16K to a high of 19.5K before closing the quarter at around 16K.

Smart Fit App also reported no revenue but demonstrated consistent downloads and active user counts. Downloads saw a high of 8K in late November, followed by a dip to 3.2K by December's end. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 46K and ending the quarter at 46K.
